It provides great results and you can lose a lot of weight on it, but you have to be very persistent. What are the principles of the carnivore diet and what results does it bring?
The carnivore diet is an extremely restrictive menu that almost completely excludes the consumption of carbohydrates. Meals should not include grain products as well as fruits, vegetables and legumes. Carnivore diet is based primarily on eating meat, fish, dairy and eggs, which is why it is often called a carnivore diet.
The rules of composing meals are extremely simple, because you can eat everything from the list of allowed products, that is, meat and fish and eggs. Slightly different is the situation with dairy. This is allowed, but only with a low content of lactose and carbohydrates. From drinks, it is recommended to drink mainly mineral water and abandon coffee and tea. Vegetable fats are not allowed.
Carnivore diet can give really good results. The number of lost kilograms is very quickly noticeable, which is, of course, due to the high restriction of carbohydrates and the consumption of mainly proteins. Following this diet allows you to lose up to five kilograms in one week. However, you should keep in mind that a large part of the lost weight is water.
You may find that in the first days of following a new diet the effects are satisfactory, but as time goes by the rate of weight loss starts to slow down. The reason for this course of events is that the body begins to get used to the restrictive diet.

In the case of bodybuilders, the carnivore diet can prove to be a great option just before the competition, when it is necessary to get down to the lowest possible level of body fat.
By following this menu, which is mainly based on protein, the muscles are properly protected. Protein as their basic building block can protect them from the destructive effects of lack of other substances and carbohydrates, which are responsible for providing energy.
A meat diet causes a large amount of water to be removed from the body in a very short time, which dries out the muscles and makes them even more powerful. Nevertheless, right after the competition bodybuilders need to replenish carbohydrates and vitamins and minerals to rebuild the body after an extremely difficult period. However, this must not be done in a sudden manner so that the yo-yo effect does not appear.
