After this time, the body is ready to accept the drink, which is high in calories, but also low in carbohydrates or protein. The benefits of beer include its sedative effect, regulation of blood pressure and provision of vitamin B. Beer is also a good source of silicon which improves memory. Hops, on the basis of which beer is produced, have an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect.
